Chevy Equinox Recalled for Failure to Conform to Safety Standards

The 2007 model year Chevy Equinox and Pontiac Torrent are being recalled for a failure to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 212, “Windshield Mounting”. During manufacture, an incorrect primer may have been used to secure the windshield, liftgate glass and side stationary glass. In the event of an accident, the glass may not be properly retained and could result in more serious injury or death of the vehicle occupants. There are a total of 6,213 vehicles included in this recall. Dealers will replace the windshield, liftgate glass and side stationary glass free of charge.
