Chrysler is recalling 300,000 vehicles due to defects with the anti-lock brake module. If the driver presses the brake pedal after the vehicle has been going up a hill, the brakes may not engage immediately. This is due to a defect in the programming of the control module for the anti-lock brake system. The recall affects the 2007 year model Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro and the 2006 - 2007 year model Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander.
