DaimlerChrysler is recalling over 5,000 Dodge Ram 2500 pickups for failure to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 301, “Fuel System Integrity”. In the event of a rollover accident, the tank may allow fuel to spill, which could result in a fire if an ignition source is present. Dealers will install a fuel tank shield on the front cross member to help protect the fuel tank. This recall is only for the 2007 year model Ram 2500.
