Pontiac GTO Under Investigation by NHTSA

NHTSA has opened an investigation following reports of tire blowouts on the 2004 – 2006 model year Pontiac GTO. The reports claim that the front struts are too close to the inner side wall of the tires and will actually wear them down enough to cause the tire to fail. This investigation has been opened to determine the scope of the alleged defect.
