The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of Grand World Incorporated’s line of baby pacifiers known as Bobby Chupete. More than 640,000 of the pacifiers were voluntarily recalled and the CPSC urges any consumers who have purchased the products to cease using them immediately for potential choking hazards.
The New York company is recalling the pacifiers because they failed to meet federal safety standards. The mouth guard was manufactured smaller than permitted, and thus creating a choking hazard for toddlers and infants. The Bobby Chupete pacifiers have a heart-shaped mouth guard with two holes for ventilation, as well as a ring-shaped handle. Available in aqua, red, yellow, and white versions, Bobby Shupete pacifiers featured a latex nipple that failed to meet size requirements.
Grand World can be contacted at 1-718-326-7786 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern and representatives of the company will assist consumers with refunds and further information involving the Bobby Chupete recall. Additional information is also available at www.grandworldinc.com.
