Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX 60 Class Action Lawsuit

Newsome Melton is currently litigating a class action lawsuit regarding alleged defects in 2013-2014 Nissan Pathfinders and 2014 Infiniti QX60s.  The Plaintiffs allege that the continuously variable transmissions (“CVTs”) installed in the Pathfinders and QX60s are “prone to causing sudden, unexpected shaking and violent jerking,” a condition referred to as “shudder” or “judder.”  They further allege that the defect can prevent the class vehicles from “accelerating as intended by the driver,” and therefore, the “transmission defect creates an unreasonably dangerous situation and increases the risk of a crash.”  As a result, the Plaintiffs contend that it “it is inevitable that an individual will be injured or killed due to a collision caused by this safety defect.”

If you purchased or leased a 2013-2014 Nissan Pathfinder or 2014 Infiniti QX 60, you may be entitled to compensation by joining this lawsuit.

The Pathfinder/QX60 litigation is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and is styled Batista, et al. v. Nissan North American, Inc., Case No.: 1:14-cv-24728-RNS.   A complete copy of the official complaint is available at this link.
